High pitched vibrating sound when above 3k rpm
Hi guys, I've been getting a high pitched sound coming from my car when I rev it above 3k rpm. It sounds like a vibrating type of noise. It happens while driving or parked. Could it be an engine problem?

Try to isolate exactly where the noise is coming from. Have someone else work the throttle while you inspect the engine bay and under the vehicle to find out exactly where it's coming from.
It doesn't sound like it's coming from the front of the car. I can't hear it at all under the engine. It's somewhere in the middle towards the back. Is it the catalytic converter? But why is it so high pitched?
It's really hard to tell from the video, sounds like a "ringing metal sound" sort of which can be caused by metal parts vibrating against one another. I think you should have it inspected at a muffler shop, that way someone can literally stand right under the car with a stethoscope and a long screwdriver and poke around on things while someone else holds the throttle right where it's making the noise.
