Window switch

Recently one of the switches on my window control snapped off and I don’t remember how. Then recently bought an aftermarket one off amazon, but now doesn’t have some of the features before. Can’t roll down the windows remotely (w/o being in the car) and doesn’t have the power window function. I looked at auto parts stores around me but they’re around $800. Is it wort trying to find a new one, or is there another way I could swap some pieces out.

If you still have those broken pieces of plastic I would just use Loctite Pro super glue or Gorilla glue and carefully glue them back on, then snap the switch back into place.

Did you check eBay? It's a great resource of used OEM components exactly like that. Driver-side switches are usually about $50 and other doors with a single button are typically about $25.

Also you local pick-n-pull wrecking yard, I would get the exact part number and cross reference how many vehicles it was used in. Probably the same switch for a V36 platform was used in G25, G35, G37 is my guess. Maybe you'll get lucky and it's also the same switch in the Maxima/Altima.

Infinipartsonline.com is typically who I use to look up part numbers for stuff like that.

Hye guys, do I need to disconnect the battery to replace the window switch? I read somewhere that since when ignition isn't on, there is no juice going to window switch, you do not need to disconnect the battery.

Your mom's boyfriend
Removing the battery stops accidental shorts. But I've installed that switch a bunch of times without removing the battery. You should be fine.
