Left side speakers not working 07 G35x

My left side speakers (front and back) suddenly cut off one day. Ive tried messing with the fader but when I put it to the left side there is no sound. Occasionally it will crackle and pop that usually happens when I put the volume all the way up with the fader set to the left. Anyone have any tips to fix this? I have taken out the headunit and put it back to make sure there were no loose connections. Also unplugged and plugged back in the cables on the amp. Any help would be appreciated.

Either your head unit has failed or your Bose amp has failed.

This.

Must be annoying as hell just knowing it's not working properly. Couldn't imagine driving around with a half broken audio setup . I'd prob start simple. Unplug the broken speaker , test with a working crappy speaker. If you hear sound .... problem solved. Your speakers are f*ucked .

If you still have no sound test the wire coming out of the head unit . Remove the head unit , stick 2 wires into pinouts with a working crappy speaker. If you hear sound .... problem solved. Your wiring is f*cked, bad connection somewhere.

You could probably open the headunit and look for ovb signs of a something wrong but most people won't.
Do those 2 before you swap your headunit or amp with a junker .

They said it was the radio. Said $900-1000 to replace. Any opinions? I need a fix that is cheaper than that. Thanks.

Lol what a ripoff.

Buy a used OEM head unit and replace it yourself. U will save yourself about 800-900 bucks.

Can you please list suggestions? I haven’t researched OEM im not sure what it is.

thanks.

edit: I found someone selling a radio unit. It was originally for the g35 with the nav package. I don’t have the nav package in mine but would the radio replacement still work? Thanks

OEM just means original. And yes, the radio u found should work but I think its gonna be stupid to have all those navigation controls on there that dont actually do anything. Try to find one without the navi. Theres a bunch of em out there.

I found someone selling the radio unit. Spent $50 all together. I should just be able to substitute the old radio for the one im buying correct? I can use the same connectors without anything else?

Great news. Everything works like it should. Bought a used radio unit online. Just took apart the headunit and swapped em out. Thank goodness because I could not take only listening to music from the right speakers for much longer. All in all it cost me $48 for the replacement. Pretty cheap fix considering I spent $115 for a car audio place to tell me the problem.

Well I should thank you because you saved me the $900 they said it would take to fix it. I had no idea I could just swap in a used one until you mentioned it. Thanks.
