Just installed a sub
Just installed a sub
Infiniti engineers are amazing.
Install took less than an hour.
Sounds great.
Just realized how much the stock bose system lacks low end.
Pics coming

Sorry for the delay broski . Working hard, haven't had time to take pics bro.
Basically I bought a used ACTIVE sub locally for $20 .
It's one of those bazooka tubes.
It's 300 Watts with a built in AMP.
Then I bought a new wire kit for $30 .
So my total cost was $50 .
My trunk now rattles, so do the side mirrors, and the rear view mirror rattles too .... if I WANT IT TO .
If you search your local classifieds, you'll find deals like these all day.
I went with a bazooka because it was the smallest option possible.
It barely takes up any space.
I still feel like I still have a full trunk.
Plus it was dirt cheap.
For it's size, it pumps out wayyyy more bass than I expected.
For some people who are used to loud systems, it's probably under powered.
But I'm a club DJ , and for my daily driver, it's more than enough.
It's loud enough to give you a headache if you want it to.
The install is just a standard install.
It was really easy.
Remove the windshield cowl.
Remove the battery box.
Pull out the fuse box.
Just 1 + power wire from the battery.
Behind the battery, there is pre drilled hole. With a rubber plug.
Infiniti thought of everything. Their engineers are so smart.
I stabbed a long screwdriver through the hole - to break through the insulation
Then fed the power wire through that hole and to the trunk.
That was literally the hardest part . And it wasn't hard at all.
For the remote power you'll see a light grey wire in the middle brown connector on your trunk preamp.
For the audio in, just split the audio out from your bluetooth / tablet / phone / aux in / device and feed it to your trunk.
For the negative, just ground it literally anywhere in your trunk.
It's literally 3-4 wires.
The install took less than an hour.
$50 later, a bumping system.
Do it bro.

I have a 10” bazooka tube in my trunk too. It actually puts out good, clean bass. I also went with it because it fits into the deep trunk cubby area perfectly. I have mine wired to an amp though.
Listen to this mix I made on your Bazooka bro. Your car will pound. Drum and Bass / Jungle is my guilty pleasure :
