So I was changing my coil pack since I had a Misfire and seen my car has the same ignition coils as a DE and mine is an 08 but the also I looked at my friends 08 coil packs and his has the ones that I attached to the thread is there any reason why my has the DE ones?

Looks like someone screwed up. Throw a set of HRs in there along with new OE plugs. Z1 carries high spark coils for less $$ than OEM. They work really well.

So I tried one of my friends coil packs and it didn't fit so I'm not fs why but I had someone tell me they have a 07 and also have the same coil pack as the ones mine has is there maybe a early model 08 and also maybe a latest model 08? Just how there is with the older DE's?

If you in fact have a 2008 g35x sedan like me, you definitely have the HR engine. The HR is also in 2007 g35x sedan so you wouldn't fall into the "early" model category even if such a thing existed.

Someone told me they have a 07 HR and their car also has the DE similar coil packs as mine but if anything does that affect anything?

Look at your engine, is there an air intake tube on one side (DE engine) or is there an intake tube on both sides (HR engine).

Don't just go off the year on the vehicle registration, that isn't your actual "model year". A car might sit on a dealership lot for a year before being sold and thus is registered according to what year it was sold, not it's actual model year.

Take a picture of the harness, I have a feeling either you got sent the wrong coil packs, or someone has cut/spliced the harness to run some kind of aftermarket coil packs.

Would it matter if it got sliced/cut? The car still runs fine and also I looked up the difference of the volts it pushes through and they're the exact same thing but I will post some here soon if not tomorrow

OK well that's good because I ended up buying new Hitachi coil packs to try and see if it gets rid of this misfire and hopefully it's not a vacuum leak! But also can a misfire cause the car to idle at 1k? Or is that normal to idle at because I took it to my mechanic and he said its a vacuum leak but my idle needle doesn't drop or raise it was missing a bolt to hold in the tb but didn't seem to fix it next I'ma buy the tb gaskets and if that don't help I'ma just pay to get it inspected
