Could be tuned, and a bad one at that.

Quote: ahh. I just run premium for both peace of mind and that little bit of extra drivability. For me saving $10 on a full tank of gas isn’t worth the switch, and I feel comfortable filling premium, although will keep in mind incase I go broke, broke.
You are wasting your money buying premium. I had three Infiniti's beginning in 2005 and used regular 87 octane in all of them. The thousands of dollars that I saved over more than 17 years enabled me to purchase my latest vehicle that requires no gas and is much cheaper to operate.

But if I had to guess, I think I saved more money buying premium gas for one Infiniti, then purchasing three Infiniti's while using regular gas. I get your point though, I think I would have saved around $3600 with 87 octane over 15 years. I just think there are a lot of variables involved, and I'm comfortable with my choices.
