The front of the sunroof assembly/seal is bent very noticeably and am hoping it won’t give me any problems in the future. I rarely use my sunroof besides tilting it occasionally but seeing this makes me worried to use it.
Part of me wants to just leave it but I am worried that somehow water will eventually seep through. That would be an absolute nightmare on top of the classic sunroof drain problem every g gets that I am going to have to deal with eventually. I’ve dealt with TONS of water in my old g that had all 4 sunroof drains leaky and the floor of every seat would be an ocean. An actual leak in the roof itself would be even worse.
For now I am just going to leave it but I am considering putting some sort of product on it to seal it tight again so there is no hole. Replacing the whole assembly seems like it would be a very hard and expensive process. Any advice or help is appreciated.
Treacherous just reminded me there's an ITB about that deformed sunroof seal, here's a link to the thread. Second post has a working link to the ITB so you can read up what the official Infiniti fix is.
