Tip to remove drivers side front inner axle on an AWD X?
Hello from Maine,
I'm beginning the project to replace the front differential and am at the stage of removing both of the front axles. The one-piece Passenger side axle popped out without any issue.
The 2-piece driver's side axle is being stubborn. Does it seat into the splined differential the same way as the pass side? With a circlip, that just needs to be popped using a pry method? I'm attempting to pull out the entire axle and still have the the two inner/outer 'halves' attached.
I'm using a Haynes manual that does not give instruction on removing the inner front axle...
Thanks for any advice.
Tom

Thanks for the reply G2B,
I went to that site and realized that the 'net is loaded with false and phishing sites for product manuals - with questionable pop-ups appearing. It looks like I have to leave the site to download one. Is there a trusted area on that site to click on?
p.s. - I have a '76 Datsun Z and didn't know this site existed - thanks it might be helpful as all I have is a Chilton manual for that too.
<EDIT> I found the drill-down sections of the 2007 sedan manual. Very helpful indeed! Cheers and Beers!

Get the FSM from Nicoclub, click the blue bars in the middle to open up your exhaust vehicle. They have full FSM for nearly every Nissan and Infiniti car, no need to register an account or anything.
As for the CV axle, yes it's just a circlip kind that you can pop out with a little prybar and a mallet.

Much appreciated Cleric670.
Sounds like I need to pry a little harder on it.
I've broken some things over the years by thinking that I just needed to twist, yank, hammer-smack, edge-pry, or torch heat to the point of regretting it. We've all been there though, huh?
