Water pump/Timing chain-ready to sell it
I have a 2007 G35 Sedan with 180,000 miles. It's got a coolant leak with an expensive repair needed and looking to sell the car instead of putting additional money into it. For the past year, it's been losing coolant, slowly, but increasing over time. System was pressure tested and they observed leaks around heater hoses and radiator. Paid $1800 for new radiator and hoses. Coolant leak was unchanged and took it back. Now they say it's the water pump that needs replacement and timing chain. Cost would be $3800. After spending $1800 for nothing and being told it needs another $3800, I've had enough. Any idea what this car is worth in it's current state. Located in Southern California (Orange County).

it def doesn't cost that much to repair. parts could run into 500-700, depending on what you want to replace. check my thread to get an idea of what all is involved: Water pump decisions with 245k on the clock - G35Driver - Infiniti G35 & G37 Forum Discussion
