I have a 2007 G35 Sedan with 180,000 miles. It's got a coolant leak with an expensive repair needed and looking to sell the car instead of putting additional money into it. For the past year, it's been losing coolant, slowly, but increasing over time. System was pressure tested and they observed leaks around heater hoses and radiator. Paid $1800 for new radiator and hoses. Coolant leak was unchanged and took it back. Now they say it's the water pump that needs replacement and timing chain. Cost would be $3800. After spending $1800 for nothing and being told it needs another $3800, I've had enough. Any idea what this car is worth in it's current state. Located in Southern California (Orange County).
you would be better off asking other mechanics what it would cost.
1800 for radiator hoses is crazy.
2008 g35, I just did all the coolant hoses, heater hoses and even the throttle body hoses.
now I did the work, and even getting the tb hoses from theReply dealer I was under 300 for parts.
