so i’ve heard this same noise on pretty much every g i’ve driven, it used to be rare when the AC is blowing or i would put the car in reverse, but now it seems to have gotten worse to the point where it doesn’t go away and happens during idle with no air blowing or anything. i’ve driven the car a lot of miles the past year and it has progressively gotten louder and stays longer than usual. i took this video in a drive thru last night, the sound goes away when the car is moving which is odd. any idea what could be causing this sound it seems to be coming from dashboard on passenger side and just keeps getting worse over time.

damn, i think i'm getting the same annoying squeaky noise in mine also. it does seem to originate from the dash area, but when driving, it feels like it's coming from somewhere around the rear-view mirror. doesn't matter if the a/c is on or not either. i mostly drive with music on, so doesn't bother me 95% of the time lol keep us posted if you figure it out.

 

Almost sounds like metal rattling, maybe an exhaust issue. Doesn't sound like the usual "thumping" sound that starts to develop when then right side fuel damper starts to fail.

 

i agree it sounds like metal rattling, my exhaust is brand new from the cats to the muffler and i’ve been hearing it before i put the new exhaust system on. never touched the manifold or headers so that’s a possibility. going to try and pinpoint it with a friend behind the wheel with foot on break and look around engine bay, will keep this thread posted with updates
