I couldn't agree with you more. The new g37 coupe is just not as sexy as the previous years IMO. The 07+ sedan is way sexier than the previous versions.

I had 03 premium loaded then 05 x and now 07 with everything and it is miles ahead of both the 03 & 05. I never received too many comments on my 05 but everyone looks at & comments on my 07 IP, Nav, etc. It is just worth it to have two exhaust pipes coming from the back. The <= 06 look off balance and remind me of BMW owners who have < 335 with only one pipe.

I wanted to try another car after having 2 G sedans but for value I could not change.

When I was looking for a car in late 2006, I went with the IS250, didnt even go to the Infiniti dealership cos what there were offering just didnt do it for me, i.e. the 06 models. A friend at work had the 06 model and at no time was I impressed with that car. Granted my IS250 had far less power but as far as I was concerned, it made up for it with the sheer luxury, fit and finish it offered. Enter the 07 G35 and I changed my mind. After a couple of test drives it was clear to me that my IS250 came nowhere close to the G35. Am now almost 3 months with my 08 G35X. Just my 2 cents

Thumbs up

I know this is a 3 year old bump but I find the G35/G37 sedan to be the best value in class and one of the best overall cars/values I've seen. I've reviewed it personally and loved the overall package. It really won me over as time passed.

Seeing how the car has evolved is pretty amazing how far its come in such a short time. I've even personally recommended a fellow moderator to give the G37x a good shot and he bought it.

With amazing lease deals and prices, I really think more people should be buying it. The car has decent looks, size, power, features, options, a trunk, "soul" all for a fantastic price.

Its really a tough car to beat. Now for bewbies.

The handling, power, interior all still grow on me, meaning I'm enjoying it even more. May even try it on the track soon. Power definitely is there. Only area that is tough to get used to is the 6MT. With the tried adjustments, it's still too touchy on take up, not the "use and forget it" type, like other MTs I've driven. That plus the minor annoyance of the 6MT sounds when idling and shutting down, the rattling. But then, the Eibach susp upgrade made the G much more buttoned down, adds to the fun factor.
