What is the point of moving all of the threads?

Your post wont be move if you are a moderator.
check the thread "I joined the Window Tint Fix-It Ticket Club " It's probably a Coupe related thread

Hope this clearifies it a bit. We're all friends here.

The mods do get carried away sometimes...most of the time it's legitimate while other times it does pertain to the coupes but get moved anyways. I didn't want to say anything about the window fix it ticket thread but it's true.

The site is pretty well organized here and I like the fact there is some order kept on where posts should be made. The shame is that moderators have to spend so much time moving posts that show up on the wrong thread. Why do so many people post unrelated items especially on the Coupe forum?
God forbid a moderator for being human and making a mistake once in a while. Along the lines of Tinman's analogy, once in a while you get lazy and just kick your shoes off in the living room. But I'll be damned if someone else were to do that in my house.

Another way to look at it is if you are moving most of the posts maybe that means you have too many forums. Not sure about that because the only one I read on a consistent basis is the coupe forum. And when I had a sedan I only read that one.
Interesting...... two threads started yesterday in two different forums and basicly on the same topic ..... whinners venting ... must be something in the water..... lol
Short and sweet........ If everyone was allowed to post anything they wanted anywhere on Driver the board would not be what it is today.... the largest place for G peeps to 'hang out' and interchange views, experiences, thoughts etc. on the 'net.
Now for the ppl who are complaining about moved threads. Let's look at it from the other side of the coin and ppl do send us PM's reporting OT threads in forums and yes mods/admin do get those but you all don't see them nor getting hit up on AIM. Some ppl will also post in a thread mentioning to the originator of the thread that it should be posted in a more appropriate forum.
Okay, now back to the otherside of the coin and I'm speaking more in generalities as opposed to specifics. First the obvious.... I'm a coupe owner in the coupe forum and I come upon a post about a sedan owner selling a right rear door. I have no interest in a right rear door or anything pertaining to a sedan part for sale but I'm kind forced to go through the title or start to read about it. Now multiply that by many other posts like that in the wrong forum. I now have go through all these unwanted titles or posts wasting my time. Is that fair to me, it's not fair to the 38k plus other users either cause someone who just didn't care started a thread wherever he/she felt like it without any considerations to the others.
One more. I'm in the SE and am moving to Cali but need a reco for a real estate broker to find me a place and I post it up in the SE forum. Is that the appropiate spot, I don't think so. Now all the SE ppl have to thumb threw this post and I probably wouldn't get too much if any of a response.
Mods/admins are not moving things around cause they have nothing better to do trust me. That is the last thing we want to do. We all rather spend our time browsing Driver as you all do and participating in the intereaction. Some ppl who start a thread and find it gets moved are taking it too personally.... live with it, it's no biggie. If you feel a thread was moved unjustly, hit up a mod/admin with your reasoning not just hey you, my thread was moved.
There are many fourms here for a reason. Driver did not start out with this many forums but grew as time went on by users here requesting additional forums. Hey if it was just one forum it would be alot easier to manage....lol
