This site is Incredibly slow For Me

I find the site still very, very slow.

The other sites I frequent do not have this problem. I thought IB was going to rectify this problem a couple of months ago, or they were working on it.

Lately I have been going to other sites that are much faster.

What gives, is it just my puter , I really don't think so.

this site is not IE8 friendly... I have been using Firefox (as others have suggested for other issues)... if you are using IE8, I bet that's your problem.

FWIW, I uninstalled IE8 and installed 7... it was even worse.

I have stuck with IE7. What I don't understand is why all the other sites load quickly without issues yet this site doesn't. (Oh, I forgot, I do have a problem with another site I go to and that is My350Z.com)

yes... and you will probably notice that if you are not logged in, you have to hit the back button twice to go to previous page (three times on my350Z)...

That's why I say this site is not IE friendly (7 or 8)... Most other sites I visit have no issues either - but for some reason IB sites have issues.

I posted problems as you did... it was suggested to try other browsers... like you, I asked why this site only...

Bottom line is - if you want it to work the way it should - try another browser. Firefox is reputable and works well.

I am pretty sure it's this style of forum. It really doesn't like using Internet explorer.

I use firefox at home on my laptop and Driver and My350 are both very quick. But at work with IE8 and 7 it's sluggish and frustrating.

Okay, thanks for the responses guys.
I am not a computer person, so I guess I will stumble my way through this until I get fed-up with it.

I am going to be loading Windows 7 onto a partition later this week, so hopefully I'll be able to do some testing. I have no issues right now, but I'm running OS X and using Safari.

I have Firefox -- and this site loads significantly slower for me than any of the other sites I use. So I don't think it's isolated to a simple Firefox vs IE issue.

Not isolated but on IE it is a lot slower than firefox. So imagine how slow it is compared to IE.

Probably since it's a holiday weekend that makes it a little slower as well right now.

I agree..... it's not the quickest out there.
I've been using FF for years now, gave up on IE a long time ago.
But even with the fox, things don't jump as quickly as some sites.

Maintenance is on going,
but we won't likely see a significant improvement until the new vBul is rolled out here sometime in the new year.
We'll be looking at a refresh to the look & feel at the same time.

This site is slow as bawls and I'm on FF. My350z equally slow...I'm fairly certain it's the IB server farm acting up or needing much bigger turbos.

I frequent another VB based site with 2-3x the active users and it has ZERO lag, ever. So blaming VB and IE isn't the answer...
