I dont think freshening up the graphics and putting up an actual image banner is ricey, I kind of like it.

 

The new look is great, guys! It was a nice surprise when I logged in tonight.

Yeah I've noticed that too and already pointed out a couple subforums and threads that don't have the new skin. IB has been alerted they will look into it tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up.

 

1, the layout is good, not much different from before, with most visible changes on the header section;
2, I'm with those who feel the BG being too bright, plus the smaller (narrow to be exact) default font size, with hi-res monitors getting popular these days, the high contrast design is not easy on the eyes. How about adding font size selection?
3, I like the new header graphics, with logo on carbon fiber BG, very high-tech/stylish, BUT the car photos actually cheapen/kill the whole feeling..... take them out and bring the nav bar closer to the logo it will look way cleaner and more professional;
4, the G35 Live function is cool, however it could have been added with or without the face-lift;
5, maybe adding roll back function during layout beta-testing? Or add "Classic" as an style option?
6, do we have the auto-search function before a new thread is about to be posted? So we don't see "Can I put 05/06 sedan headlight on my 03?" thread every 10 minutes lol...

Haha, that's like my favorite skin that they have. Plus it is pretty well made, the colors and the font doesn't get lost in the skin. Everything is still very readable and it doesn't hurt my eyes.

Still, I like the layout. I like the way the cars are displayed in top right corner. I just think the background is still a bit too bright.
