Noisy (creaky) Driver Seat on G Sedan

Its driving me nuts.

I bought this 03 G sedan used and I am not sure if the guy before me was a fat a$$ or just had a lot of girlies on his lap, but the noise is annoying as $hit

It sounds like creaking wood everytime I hit a bump, or turn, or move.
I can't tell if its coming from the back piece or seat piece or where they meet.

anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

Welcome to the "G" Club. You will get to know your local dealer on a first name basis. Sorry but you will have to take it in like the rest of us.

I bought mine new and it came that way. If that is the only noise consider yourself lucky.

Ditto. Hopefully after 4 years, they have a permanent fix for this.

Just be glad that you don't have the 'chirping' noise from the passenger seat when no one is riding in it. I greased and lubed every hinge I could get to and it never went away (until I sold the car.)

i got my '06 about 4 months ago. i recently noticed that noise too. at first, i thought it was my coilovers. then i realized it was the seat when it bounced back after i leaned back. it's annoying. would the warranty cover something that small??

It is the Seat Rail. I had it diagnosed on my car. I am going to the dealer this weekend to have it replaced. They will need to order the seat rail as there are no parts to be tighten. Yeah, it's annoying, but I'll take this then REAL mechanical problems anyday *cough*BMW*cough*. Also, don't get into all this "Our cars are built crappy because there are rattles here, creaks there". These are cars, with moving parts. I've been in way too many cars to count and they ALL have rattles, creaks, etc. It's more like the luck of the draw too. My car personally don't have rattles, but I do have the seat rail creaking. If this is the only problems, I'll buy a G again and again.
