I'm partial to the NISMO bumper anyway... ...so much so that I got it for my '05, even though it's only slightly more aggressive with the same look. But I think the NISMO bumper would have been a very good direction to look for inspiration for the '08. Hopefully, NISMO or others will offer something soon that's not too closely based on the OEM sport-model's front.

Some lip extension is pretty essential to get rid of the rounded front bumper... ...just like the OEM '03-'05 front requires.

Agreed. Everytime someone posts a picture back to back of a G35C vs a G37C, I realize how much better the G37 looks, LOL.

^yes you can improve the current gen (soon to be old), give it the 07 sedan or M headlights (although i feel like the M headlights have room for improvement) headlights, an possibly round the section under the trunk the slightest bit and it would be perfect

the g37 looks like the g35 AFTER having gone to the gym for a while!

^^^ Could not have said it better. I also think the G37 looks more pumped up, which I like, glad they appear to have made it more masculine, not that it wasn't before. Overall, I love it and can't wait to get my hands on one.

i think if u put the concepts front bumper on the 08's they would look exactly alike. aside from that, the 08 looks almost identical to the concept exept the 20's and brembo's.

Initially I thought it could look a little more aggressive, but who are we kidding, once we see one in real life, we will all want one.

Thank you! At least someone else can see that.

Oh, and the fact that the production model isn't lowered nearly as low as the concept.

Brian, why do you want another Z? Basicly that's what you are getting. Doesn't make sense to have 2 two doors. Don't be another Russ and lose thousands yet again on depreciation from trading in.

like others have said before, once you see it then its a different story! i was in love with my 03' sedan and hated the new design of the 07'! thats until i saw and test drove it in person. pictures can be deceiving and you cant always judge a book by its cover. i guarantee that everyone thats hatin' now will be on the new g's jock once it releases! BET!

PS. but the front bumper is still ugly!

Hey Jeff! I'm positive on my Z now, and I'm trying to strategically sell it before it's resale starts to dramatically fall. I expect that to be next year as the new Z starts to get hype'd.

Despite my many car changes, I've managed to always be able to walk away from them without paying anything. I'm keeping my eyes on this one because it does have the extra two seats and I expect it'll hold its resale extremely well. I'm undecided on what my next move will be, but it'll likely be in over a year, giving enough time for the G37 hype and dealer BS to settle down.

Russ is a complete different story. He rolls negative equity into all of his cars and takes massive hits on cars. I bought the Z used and got it for a great deal. The brunt of the hit had already been taken.

the production shots are growing on me, and i'm sure the car will look decent in real life, but infiniti seriously screwed up after showing us the concept coupe and then this conservatively non-aggressive watered down version.

some thoughts - the g37 has nice engine mods, the torque is pathetic tho. interior is boring, just like the 07 sedan (much better than the 1st gen tho). what's worse is the huge weight increase, my 03 weighs 250 lbs lighter (3435 vs 3682), and its already a tub of lard. also, the coupe is way too tall, they shoulda dropped it 1.8 inches to 53.0 instead of .1 inches to 54.7 and made it wider.

the tires are too narrow!!! if the 350z gets 245 fronts and 265 mm rears, why can't the g37 with its much improved engine and chassis? again infiniti blew it. but most of all, the front bumper sucks complete a*s, the car is too conservative in its evolution and generally not aggressive enough.

i predict the 335 is still noticeably faster... i bet the g37 coupe will do 5.0 seconds to 60 and 13.5 in the 1/4. barely as fast as the is350, respectable but not given the hp ratings.

despite these complaints and huge disappointment in the styling, i still like the car and will consider it or the bmw 335 coupe as my next ride.
