Say something nice about the new Coupe
I'll tell you something nice....Out of all the links to reviews, road tests, and personal opinions of the G37 that I have read the past week, not one writer really said anything bad about the looks.
In a matter of fact they all liked the looks a lot and said it was a step up form the G35. Why? Probably because when you actually see the car in person it will look Sweet.
Ultimately, I wouldn't sweat the pictures that are out there on the net now, because you really have to see the car in person for it to really take your breath away (or not).
My 2 cents.

can u say poor gas mileage...
do we really need a 3.7 liter engine? reminds of the old muscle car. which gets poor gas mileage. big block engine and doesnt last very long and has oil consumption issues.
the only nice thing about it is the interior... the looks are blah to me. i rather get a 5 series.. but for now, i'll stick with my 06 G... its bone stock. but damn, its still nice. my 19's stock stilll look good to me. haha.

Your #'s are off man. Plus, the gas mileage is actually improved and better than 1st gen! This is due to VVEL technology... i read on one of the many magazine articles after the embargo was broken that gas mileage is estimated to be at 20 / 27
That's almost the same exact milage that the last gen V6 Honda Accord got!
Has anyone of you driven a 07 G Sedan S?
I have from getting a 07 G sedan loaner, and am very impressed with its performance. It's fast and the acceleration is smooth. I on the other hand feel a little weak on the interior (Lexus, Bimmer, and Mercedes have higher quality, and Acura has more practical design).
But I would say the G sedan is more fun than my current G35C to drive, so I think the G37 is definitely not going to disappoint me.

My friend just picked up a fully loaded (Tech, NAV, Prem) G35x and it is a fantastic car. I disagree on your interior comment. That is one of the things (besides old generation technology) that I didn't like about the BMW. It's interior looked cheap to me (and not very stylish at all). I'm not crazy about the IS interior, but I do own a RX330 and the interior is such a nice place to be. Much ahead of the other counterparts. Loaners usually have no options so that may have taken the feeling down a notch.
The new sedan is such a huge improvement over my 04 coupe. It's not even close.
All the improvements of the sedan (nicer interior, tighter body) PLUS new steering with quicker ratios, refined 6-speed**, big brakes, more power, flatter torque curve, better gas mileage, $40k.
** I really hope they aren't pulling our legs on this one. The automatic 07 sedan is very smooth. The 6-speeds have always been a bit coarse. If it is smooth and more refined this car will be a huge hit.
