I have seen so many negative posts about the new 37, and have accounted many times for the dislike as poeple who really love their 35s so that they are simply too in love to move on and think past their generation model.

As for predictions of future failure:
BUT ENOUGH ALREDAY.

Time. Simple Time.

I do not work for Infiniti, nor do the dozens of people who have posted they like the new G, nor did the dozens i herd on the NYIAS standing in front of the car who said wow, i want that, i like that, that looks good, that looks great, whats that, thats really cool, when can we buy it, is it for real, .... i can go on, there was lots of positive feedback, and no one was wearing Infiniti name badges. And i came back later in the day and herd all the same stuff.

Only time will tell if it is a better sales hit then the current gen model. Sales will give them the feedback they will react to, not you, not me, not every post on this website. If it sells, (which I think it will- better then the 35) its a hit and it it will gain a larger base of consumers for Infiniti in general. If it sells less then the current G, then they might do a 2 year update. Plain and simple.

Realize every car changes, every change model launch has to move away from the old look, and this is not by any stretch a major move, this is a blend of new on top of old, so it really is not that far away. Some model changes totally re-make the car, this is no where close. I liked the old model but could not afford it, or 1 would be in my garage today.

IF i had been lucky enough to own a 35 today, I would have bought it years ago. If i did have 1- i would still say the same things about the new 37. I like them both, but it just so happens today I can actually buy a G w/o breaking the bank. Agree to disagree and lets stop predicting doom for this barely released model, which most people have not even seen in person nor driven yet, lets let the sale figures do the talking. If it does not sell well so be it, but dont call it a DOA before it even hits the store shelves.
That's the post of the day right there folks!! Fantastic post bro!

That deserves some of these. hooters

They wont come together because they are a bunch of girly-boy-idiots.

I count 30+ posts from people who actually believed that the 20" wheels would be standard with the production car. And then guess what happened . . . the official information was released, suprise! No standard 20" wheels. LOL!!!!!!!!
Some even thought the car would be priced at $80,000+

Before the official G37 anouncement, everyone was all over the new couple.
They LOVED it, they drewled all over it.
Now?
Now, people cant stop bashing it. They bash it, because the car is everything it was promised to be and more. They bash it because they realize they will not be able to afford a new car just yet, (they'll need to wait another year or two, or more). They bash it because you and i will be actually driving the car and they wont. They bash it because they are bored with there lives. The tail lights are ugly because their own lives are imperfect, and ugly. They feel compelled to bash it because of their own short comings and psycho drama.

Look people, i understand why you all are disappointed with the G37, appearance wise. I am also disappointed and wish that they had designed the G37 to look more like the concept. Part of being a car enthusiast is that you will get disappointed often because you expect too much of the brand.

Infiniti is not stupid enough to design a car that looks hotter, perform better, and is more luxurious than the G35. Because if they do that, they are setting themselves up for a major letdown in 2011 when they have to redesign the G37 because there is no way they can have a car that keeps on looking better and better and better. Name one Car Maker who had to done that for any model. Ok so u can't name one.

That is why they designed the G37 the way it is now. It doesn't have to look WOW. It just have to look good, then bump up horse power, throw in a lot of the tech gadgets and price it below 38k and you have a a winner. Then 4 years down the road, they can redesign it and have a WOW design to satisfy those few enthusiasts.

If you want a WOW car every four years, then get different brands, that's the only way.

I think you were kidding, but.. I could buy one right now without a problem if it were available. I am really hoping I like it in person, but in pictures it is not what I like in a car. It isn't aggressive looking (to me). It isn't as masculine as the 1st gen (to me), and it now looks like a car more women will buy (to me).

As far as looks go, those criteria are important to me in a car. Hopefully I will find out I am wrong when I see it in person. Or, I will be able to do some external modifications to make it look better..
