I purchased the 07 sedan S w/out Nav knowing I was going to trade it in for the 08 coupe in mind.

I needed a 4 door sedan during the time.

Don't get me wrong...the sedan (auto) is very nice. Very comfortable and stress free when stuck in traffic but, I sure do miss the sportyness of my 350Z.

So, I'm either selling/trading the sedan for the coupe or going back to 350Z.

The three series has a comfortable rear seat. It's doable, just not done often.

Modern coupes are essentially two-seaters and I think we all know that.

Trunk depth? LOL. Seriously though, that's interesting considering the new G coupe is very slightly longer.

I would hardly call a 30 HP bump equal. This is quite significant. Look at the 325 to the old 330. The 330 left the 25 in the dust. Obviously the 330 had a more aggressive tire/suspension setup, but it wouldnt have made that much of a difference.

Not sure if that is apples to apples. The "old" 325 was 0.5 liter smaller engine (2.5 inline 6). Much different than the 0.2 difference in the case of infiniti. The horsepower used to be 184 for the 325, versus 225 for the 330 (later bumped to 255). That's a bigger difference especially since the torque was much better (175 to 211 I believe).

The new G37 will be faster than the new sedan, but not by too much especially since the new sedan already has the mmore aggressive gearing.

just a thought...how much should it cost for the sport bumper to be replaced by the non sport one through the dealer and DIY?

not that i dont like the sport bumper, i think its ok but i think the non sport would look better.

Maybe I'll feel different seeing it in person, but it still looks too curvy to me. I feel it lost it's "edge" in design and aggressive stance. The G35 coupe looks good from every angle where, to me, this is hit and miss depending on the angle you are looking at.

But hey, it could just be me....

There you go. Problem solved for 500 bucks, a paint job and some elbow grease or installation costs if you really want to get rid of the sport bumper.

Guys, I dropped by a local Nissan dealership to check out the new Altima Hybrid and behold there was a brand new Altima Coupe parked out front being detailed. After seeing the G37 Coupe in person last weekend and the Altima Coupe this afternoon, I've came to a pretty disturbing conclusion -

The new Altima Coupe looks better than the G37 Coupe. No it doesn't look more expensive or graceful, but it's a sharper design. The Altima Coupe rear end looks killer, it's purposeful, sporty, and the rear under diffuser and the 350Z-like exhaust look great all together. The character line cuts across the low belt of the Altima Coupe giving it a sporty low stance similar to the 350Z. The front end is also a design success when it comes to conveying the sportiness of the Altima Coupe. The Altima Coupe looks a lot shorter and lower than its sedan counter part. Unlike the G, the coupe version of Altima actually looks better and more complete than the sedan. (No thanks to the strange Altezza tail lamps on the Altima Sedan) I wish the new G37 Coupe looked more like the Altima Coupe. Oh yeah, the new Altima Coupe also looks better than the 350Z they had on the lot.

The 3.5L V6 Altima Coupe starts around $25,000. It has more backseat headroom and shoulder room than the G37 Coupe. The trunk has a 33/66 split fold down seats to the passenger cabinet. The rear glass is higher than the G37 Coupe and I can actually sit back there without my head breaking the rear glass. If Nissan decides to make a 4 seater Altima Coupe Convertible - I'll buy one.

Enough Rant, if you guys don't believe me go check it out in person. The new Altima Coupe's got killer looks. I really like it. (Not enough to trade in my RWD G35 Coupe...... fortunately the Altima Coupe is FWD)
