Now, there's a scary thought. I hope you won't be driving near me.

Ian, based on where you are coming from, forget the 4-wheel steer. It's hype and adds weight.
While I can't speak for the 37, the current car is super easy to control without the gizmos, totally progressive.
I can't wait to see you G37 once you get it modded up. Clean Maxima by the way.

Yeah, even scarier, I hope you don't drive near any Explorer Sports or Jeeps or heck, older Mustangs, etc, etc.... those cars don't even come with any traction control or stability aids!!

I myself drive in horror all day long knowing I'm surrounded mostly by cars that don't have a myriad of electronic nannies to help their drives keep from crashing into me...

I think the only way to really find out if 4WAS is worth it, is for Edmunds, Road and Track, or Car and Driver to do a lap test with 2 G's, one with it, one without it, and see if any car is faster on a road track...

Except, they all say the car with 4WAS will not be faster on a track. It may be slower because it tends to cause the car to understeer more on fast turns. BUT, the car with 4WAS will be faster through the slalom. By turning the rear wheels in conjunction with the front wheels, the car is able to make rhythmic shorter turns quicker than just turning the front wheels alone.

Yes it may corner a bit better at high speeds, but it will add weight, and just seems like a part prone to failure and expensive as hell to fix (especially since it integrated with the powerful rear wheel drive). Spend the money on the Nav option instead
