Infiniti G37 too heavy? Maybe not !

I don't see your point. The E36 M3 was 400 lbs lighter than the E46 M3 and they both had I6. What's the excuse for that? Yes, the E46 was a faster car, but did not out-handle the E36. The G37 out-handles the G35 Coupe and is also quicker. The M3 gained about 150 lbs and so did the G37. We shouldn't be comparing the G37 to the M3 in any form anyway, but I understand the OP's point. I wouldn't call the G37 a disgrace, because you get alot of car in that 3700 lb package and I'm not talking about the engine only.
Wow, to say the E90 M3 is a disgrace is absolutely bananas. First of all, the V8 weighs LESS than the 6 it replaces. Second of all, if you have ever driven or owned an M3, you can justify the increase in weight. I have owned both the E36 and E46 and I can tell you the weight difference was insignificant because of the power increase.
For all of you getting into this straight line speed discussion again...stop being a magazine racer. The M3 is much more of a car than just straight line speed. It is one of the most complete vehicles on the market. Example, Mercedes has been known to be blazing fast on the straight line, but weak around the corners. This new C63 or 65 has made a dramatic improvement in handling and now becomes a competitor for the M3. The M3 is just a superior vehicle all the way around.
Yes, the car has a carbon fiber roof and is 3,600 pounds, but come on, look at everything you get. Please do not compare a Z06 to an M3, that is just an insult. The fit and finish of chevy is terrible. It is hands down a monster on the straight-line and very fast on the curves. But have you sat in one? It screams low-quality. I am not going to pay 55k for a car that feels like as if i'm driving a neon. No offense current neon owners.
I love the G37 and if I could afford the M3, I would certainly get one. But, please do not start calling it disgraceful. Especially, if you have never owned one. There is more to driving than straight line speed.

None I guess. But that doesn't excuse the G37s piggie weight with an all aluminum V6

I know the M3 is a great car and each generation gets better, but weighs a little more. The tranformation from the G35 Coupe to the G37 has added 150 lbs, but it's a better car all around and not just straight line speed.

BTW it's "your" not "you're" in this context.

So YOU relax. lol
