I understand what you are getting at. However, instead of posing an analogy, you kind of took a dig. Sorry, had to come to the defense of an M3 on the infiniti thread.

The man in the Motor Trend videos did go to a race track and didn't find it to be a pig; he even called it a rocket...

I agree. We shouldn't be getting into a M3 vs. G37 arguement. There's still the 335i to deal with. lol

Lets compare Infiniti's G40 TT to the M3 if they ever make it.

if other cars are heavy doesnt mean the G37 isnt heavy! the M3 can afford to be heavy due to its powerplant. the G cant really.
the 335i was weight at ~3300+ lbs

Oh no it's not that. I think mainly people are arguing why there are so many complaints about the G37 being so heavy when the M3 is just as heavy also. I wonder why the M3 is so heavy because the engine certainly isn't it and there are so many lightweight materials used for it. *shrugs* I wonder if I can somehow contact Infiniti and ask them why the G37 weighs so much? But so far for me it seems as though the G37 weighs so much because of the reinforcement to both doors for safety measures. After seeing many crash tests of many different vehicles... I'm happy that Infiniti decided to make the new G37 safer for us.

Quote: Bad comparison. 1st of all, the M3 has a V8. 2nd of all, the M3 is backing that weight with 414hp!

The G37 is a pig. almost 3800lbs on a RWD ONLY car with forged aluminum suspension and aluminum hood is a discrace.
Learn how to spell disgrace before calling the G37 one.

I'm amazed at how relatively light the new Audi S5 will be. 354hp V8, Quattro AWD, a rather large body, and mass of electronics and the car weighs in at under 3,600lbs. Not light, but very impressive for a modern car of its dimensions with AWD and a V8. If that is indeed the weight of the new M3, that is seriously unimpressive for a car with a carbon fiber roof and "lightweight" components.

~3,600lbs, not even close to 3,300lbs.

And some of us are sick of your negativity. If you hate the G37 so much, don't spend your time here and ruin it for others.

Wow. Who would have thought a nissan would be legitimately mentioned in the same comment as "slaughtering the M3".
