depending on how much of a discount u get on the G35, i guess....if u can get a fully loaded G37S for about 42k...and a fully loaded G35 for about 35k..then that's quite a difference...unless 7k isn't much of a factor for u

the alleged vibrations/tremors(lol) the G35 gives out, is what really impairs my decision to get the G35, how BAD is it really? altho there sum issues with the mirrior, etc. im guessin the G37 has fixed all these issues.

Get the G37s. Today was my third time going to see the car love it love it. Im trading in my G35 coupe for one. And if you have the AT. G35 0-60 is about 6 sec. and the manual is about 5.7 seconds give or take. I think there is a differnce between the two. I test drove the 07 sedan that thing is quick made my g35 feel like my IS300 when I use to own it. Test drove the G37 and that thing felt like the sedan if not quicker.

I love the way the exterior looks on the 07 G35 and the 08 G37 but the interior is what does it for me. I think the interior on the G35 looks very outdated while the interior on the G37 looks amazing.

IMO G37 > G35

I've also been deciding between getting a '07 coupe for cheaper price or a '08 G37. But after looking at all the pics and reviews, I'm leaning more towards the G37. I don't mind paying the extra 5-6K for the newer, refined, and more powerful 37.

I do not doubt that people will be able to improve on those times just like people (some) improved on the G35 magazine time. So, to compare apples to apples (magazine to magazine):

The G35 is a 6.0-6.2 second car. I would hardle take ONE (I can't think of another) road test and say that's what the car does. MOST others were getting mid-high 14's (check the car magazine sites and edmunds). That's a more reliable number.

The same magazines tested the G37 and were consistently seeing 5.3-5.5 seconds 0-60 (I agree wgaf) and 1/4 mile times from 13.8-14.2 at 100-104 mph.

The G35 road tests were done awhile ago so people might tend to forget the details of them as time has passed. Those are the real numbers no doubt about it. You can check for yourself.

Here are a few (Road and Track, Automobile, and Edmunds):

http://www.roadandtrack.com/reviews/...1_g35_data.pdf

http://www.edmunds.com/apps/vdpconta...4/pageNumber=2

http://www.automobilemag.com/test_data//index1.html

I think Motor Trend was the one with the 5.5 but I could be wrong. I'm positive that if one magazine publishes a test tomorrow that the new G37 ran a 0-60 in 4.8 seconds and a 1/4 mile time in 13.2 seconds, not one of the haters would say "we go by the fastest time - the G37 is a huge performance increase over the G35". They would call it a fluke. And I agree. I go by what MOST people are getting, not the one off road test. That only makes sense, no? Just look at what people with stock G35's are running at the track. There all high 14's (some 15's). You can go by that or the published times, but do not compare some great drag racer times of the G35 with the magazine times of the G37. That's not apples to apples.

So, do you still think it's not an improvement?
Wow, that was educational. I hadn't seen a G35 coupe 6mt test that was slower than 6 seconds - 0-60. The 5.5 number actually came from Car & Driver in a shootout against the Mustang and the RX8 9 (which won the comparison).
Funny in the last link the '03 S2000 was also tested with 5.3 0-60 14.3 1/4. My G didn't have any trouble leaving one on 3 occasions.

get the g37s in black, you won't regret it! but like everyone said around here, you can really negotiate for a much lower price on a 07 or earlier year model if price will affect your decision.
