New G37 Owner

I'm a former G owner and I've been checking the pages ever since I sold my 03 coupe to buy a condo downtown. I've missed the car ever since...
I made the mistake of walking into the dealership to see if the new G37 was in. Sure enough there was a fully loaded black on black sport sitting there.
To make a long story short it has my name on it now. haha

The car is beautiful. I was kind of dissapointed after seeing the pictures online, but after seeing it in person and seeing it next to an 07 G I couldn't say no. I used to think my old G was a great looking car, but the G37 is sick.
I'll try and stop by the dealership tomorrow and take some pix.

It seems as though that the vast majority of people are liking the G37 in person. I know I liked the 2007 G35 sedan more in person than from the pictures. I can't wait until I see the G37 in person this Saturday... woohoo. Welcome to the "club". There are just the people from the "minority" who I expected to not like the vehicle in person anyways... who, guess what, didn't like the vehicle in person. No surprise there.

I thought the pictures didnt do the car jusitice. After seeing it in person I was shocked. I own an 06 coupe pretty much fixed up, but this car looks better its more sleek plus aggressive just thinking about when i get mine im already going to but some rims, might drop it, and some dark tint. the inside is a real big jump it feels like your sittin in a formula1 racing car the streering wheel is more sport feeling than my o6 coupe the push button start is better than the bulky intelligent key in the 06-07 models coupe and the material for the roof is better. The bluetooth setup is such an improvement your contact book actually programs into the car nav. instead of programing everyone name into the car yourself especially when trying to call someone in my 06 coupe would drive me crazy for example i would say call mom and the program would say call john. The instument cluster looks like something from the future its easy to read and everthing is right there the outside temperature so you dont have to look way over by the passager side just to see the temperature and the compass is located better.

now wouldnt it be an interesting turn of events if you.. one of the most "pro" g37 memebers here.. hates the car when you finally see it in person.

Black seem to be (arguably) the most fitting color for the new G. Thanks for posting the photos, the Black G35 doesn't look outdated at all next to the new G, I prefer its design and smoother flowing lines, I'd be curious to see how many G37 they will sell the first year and compare those numbers with the G35 Coupe. I bet they won't match the success of the previous model, let alone surpass it. We shall see late august 2008...

Yeah, black on black is a must...throw on some black wheels with polished lip and you'll have a sick *** combo.

haters

I really think that everyone that's hating on the new G is just used to seeing the G35's with rims and kitted out. If you take a stock G35 and put it next to one that somebodies put some good work into theres a huge difference. I didn't do anything to my old g but put some rims and the OEM lip on the front and I was amazed at how much better looking it was.
Seeing them sitting next too each other I personally think the G37 is much better looking (which is why I bought it on the spot ) then the 35 and I really liked the look of that car.

Once you start seeing them with rims and the first kits coming out I think the haters will dissapear...

Oh and anyone in Wisconsin don't smudge the show car at International
they won't let me take it until they get a replacement

I agree. I also noticed that most of the ppl who are hatin own a G35 or one of the rivals.

I just saw a red G37 sport journey in person.

I don't like the front fenders/hood at all.

Back wasn't as bad as in pictures, but the way the front fenders and hood flare up doesn't look good to me.
