Yin-Yang and Life

Ummm... I've seen the Blue Slate in person and it does not look like the first two photos at all. That's why I was so confused by what color it was. What camera were you using and what setting did you have it on? I know the Blue Slate does not look like that in person in sunlight from those photos because considering that it's my favorite color, why was I all puzzled about what color that was? Just look at the sedan pics in the sunlight... are they the same? Originally Posted by Gchick35

Don't tell me that I chose the wrong color. It's all subjective. I don't like the color silver but I'm not telling others that they chose an ugly or "wrong" color. It's what they like and I highly respect that. You seem to really have a pessimistic attitude all the time.
Why do you like bringing people down on this forum?

Compare those pics to these pics http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/273233
Clearly they look like different colors all together.

Blue Slate is fine - The one displayed in Alexandria VA was superb, a coworker and I are going to test the G37 after tomorrow, remember the torque numbers are unchanged although it comes with 32 extra horses compared to the 07 coupe. I wouldn't trade my G for little difference in pure performance. I'll just wait and save for a Bentley twin-turbines and race with Ferraris and Lambos. Corvettes? too slow!

Yimbie, I am impressed with your maturity level for a 17 year old. You are acting more like an adult than some of the people on this forum. I also don't understand why certain people still choose to come here to talk about how "ugly" the new G is. Sure, when the design was first released, it made sense, but now....get over it. If you don't like it, fine, but to continuously participate in a forum about a car you don't like is just childish and petty.

The new G is not ugly, far from it, but many will agree it's quite a challenge to top the G35 as a package deal that was a revolutionary design and solid performance. I think many will hold on to their G as the G37 is offered just as a mildly revamped version of the original with too little to rush into a trade-in. After I saw the car last Thursday I was only marginally impressed.

i wont argue with any part of your statement.. only to say.. (and I've said this before).. the g37 need not be compared to the g35 for it to sell well as it stands just fine on it's on. Honestly.. who wouldn't buy a car that they think looks great but just doesn't live up to it's previous generations heritage? Maybe if you were a car collector.. Originally Posted by stefanzo911

I would argue most of those who visit a dealer to see the g37 for the first time (those who dont visit these forums) wont compare the two generations unless of course they owned one. Most will pull up this car on an auto.com or Edmund's search.... show me a two door coupe in the thirty-five thousand dollar range.. BOOM.. g37, Z, audi, bmw etc.. No reference to the g35c.
I loved my 2003gc but when i began the search early this year to get back into the sports car market.. i couldn't see myself in a 07 g35c.. it was going to be the 335, is350, TT or boxster but i chose the g37 for it's looks, tech and performance.. all of which adds up to a car that fits me better than a 2007 g35 coupe would.

^^Likewise, it was Cayman for me, until I saw the value of this new G, plus remembering the bills on my last Porsche.......

It's ok to disagree without name-calling or such - I like Infiniti brand too much to be negative about their much-improved new models. G35 was a breakthrough and might even have saved the company from oblivion. Let's see how this new G sells after a few month.
