Like the title says, since there have been lack-luster reviews on the rear profile of the newly released G37 Infiniti will be releasing the '09 G37 with a re-designed tail lamp design which will include reforming the rear 1/4 panels so they will not be able to be retrofited on the '08 models.

why would they do that? they didn't change the exterior of the g35 for 5 years, and they're goin to redesign the rear of the g37 after 1?

 

You do infact know that Nissan uses Unibody construction right? That means they would have to design a whole new entire rear quarter, and new taillights to accomodate that.

 

I highly doubt they would release word of a change in design before the current model even came out...

 

I completely understood the trunk redesign on the original G35 sedan. However, my BS detector is on high for this one. I don't think the G37 needs it.

I just had a long and very informative meeting today with the Nissan/Infiniti reps from NA corporate and from Japan.....all I can say is just wait till the new toys come out....and no rear quarter change... they are too busy testing other models to worry about the rear of the G37 which looks good

Yeah, I have a news too. They already fired the guy who designed the G37.....
