For those that are interested, and was taken from the service manual.

Front: 19 X 8-1/2J Aluminum/43 mm
Rear: 19 X 9J Aluminum/45 mm

 

Sound like perfect Sedan fitment.... hmmm.....

 

interesting...those are real conservative specs for the coupe. Even the sedan can go more agressive. thanks for the info.

 

so, for the wheels newbies (like me) what does this mean to me if I want to put 20s on it?

 

Looking at the car Chico the offsets seem more aggressive than the previous generation however. Maybe this is because of the track width increasing.

 

Not a whole lot. Just make sure you get the right offsets with your sizes.

 

I want weight specs. I'm gonna go ahead and guess they're at least a few lbs. heavier than the forged Rays on the 05s-07s seeing as these new 19s are cast.

 

Is the high offset going to limit how much of a dish can be had on the wheels?

 

^ High offsets (famous on Hondas) may limit the 'deep dish' potential on the current G. The 14" rotors in the sport model also may limit how much deep dish can be attained. We'll see what JDM manufacturers (ie Rays Engineering, Work, etc) will come out with to fit on the "Skyline" to see how far they can go. Maybe the vendors that advertise on this board can help us ... ????

 

When you look at the coupe in person, the stock 19's are pretty tucked. I would guess the same aftermarket wheels that could be used in the previous gen could be used on the G37. At least in the rear - the fronts would need a high-type wheel to clear the breaks.

 

Atleast they wen't with 9.0 in the rear. IMO, my stock 19's for my 06 Coupe would be a better looking wheel if it were 8.5 front, 9.5 rear.
