Aluminum driveshaft paired with 4.08?

So I have recently installed 4.08 gears and it's a totally different car. By far the best upgrade I have done. I've been looking into the gtm*aluminum*driveshaft*to cut rotational weight and reduce*drive trainpower loss. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with this set up? Will I even notice a difference?

I think hog has this... And absolutely loves it. Aluminum driveshaft is a serious upgrade as you lose about 23 lbs of unspiring weight.

Nice! Do you know if hog did the 4.08 first and then the driveshaft or both at the same time?

It isn't all that important . What matters is you enjoy it every time you drive to your destination.

I would do CF driveshaft. It's stronger then the aluminum and won't have any problems.

cf is cost ineffective unless you're over 600hp. no one has been one under that level of power. aluminum is more than strong enough for any NA build.

do not buy from gtm. you will never receive the item. look up Jake Justice on facebook to get one.

It is easy, but you gotta put it on correctly. Just like wheels, (or anything else that spins), its gotta be balanced. I've changed out U-joints on driveshafts, and you just gotta make sure you mark your parts. A lighter driveshaft, flywheel, pulleys, wheels, etc. All reduce unsprung weight and reduce parasitic drive train power loss.

Honestly, I think its just one of those things people don't always think about. Its a great upgrade tho.

I've heard the aluminum shafts cause extra vibration in the cab tho, so, just be aware.

The Driveshaft Shop makes quality pieces, I would check with them first before any others: http://www.driveshaftshop.com/import...infiniti-1/g37

You talking about me? If so I don't have this setup, not yet anyways. But I'd go with the 3.5; 3.7; or the 3.9 gears. 4.0 is gonna kill your gas mileage, and OP look up Powertrain industries for your driveshaft
