They also rebadged the FX as the QX70, and the QX56 as a QX80, the JX35 as the QX60, but the convertible is still the G, and the M hasn't changed...did they ever hear of branding???

Oh, the '13's are still G37's, it's the new ones from the factory that are Q60's........I think everything being Q will confuse buyers....

I just don't get changing an established model name. Look at Ford, they came out with that 500, and sales were bad, they then rebadged it Taurus, and they sold a ton of them. Oh well, not that I'd have bought one.....

Maybe the ricers soiled the G name. Back in the early days, when we heard "G", the word "Luxury Sport" came to mind. But now when we hear "G", I just think about ricers.

So the switch to Q seems like a smart move to get the class back.

Hmmm, when I hear ricers, I think Subaru or Honda.

I haven't seen one G "ricer", some modded G's, of course, but that's about it. New Civic??? Give me a break, not even close. I agree with saywat?, Hondas and Toyotas and Scions. G is/was still luxury sport....If the badge hadn't evolved the way it did, maybe not, but the G changed the landscape. Look how plain Lexus was, they woke up after the G hit the market! The is300 was blah, and the GS looked like the back dropped off!
