Thoughts on Infiniti continuing the G37?
thanks for that info. I jus read it on wiki now after what u posted. didn't kno the new pres was from audi . so we know where the new branding push came from lol. almost forgot back in the days that infinti did have a q45 (nas gave a heads up to it lol) and a qx4. so theyre kinda continuing that which is kinda cool.
As the price point for older models drops, different crowds of buyers all the sudden become interested. The civic became popular because it was a cheap common car that was readily available. People modified what they could afford an entire aftermarket was formed. As the g35 becomes a sub $10k car, guys are saying to themselves. "Why buy a civic when I can get a g35"
That's why a lot of people say the g35 is the new civic.
Back in 2005, I nearly bought a brand mew '05 coupe in Athens blue. Had the paperwork started and everything. Ultimately I decided not to and got my ''06 sedan soon after. I've been on g35 driver since then and have seen the crowd change. These were $40-30K cars, so the modifications tended to be higher quality. As the price point fell, so did the quality of mods.
Enjoy the exclusivity of a new car while it's nice....because in 3-5 years it will be a different crowd on the forums owning 09+ sedans. Then you'll see the posts about installing air splitters on the front of your 2012 g37 sedan
Happens with every make of car, when they age. Not exclusive to the G or Infiniti. I still haven't seen a ricer G, still see high end mods around here.

When the G was new, it was worth going FI or showing off because it was NEW... Now that it is a 10 year old car it is not exclusive anymore. I don't know who would put that kind of money into an older platform. Well that's unless your car has a serious legacy like the supra or skyline, ya?
