Picked up a 2013 Infiniti g37x and I’m having trouble pairing my phone to the car. It seems like no matter how loud I talk the mic can’t pick up my voice. Has anyone had problems with this? Did you replace the mic and how? Or is it better to find Bluetooth dongle that will transmit to a radio station? Never really liked those since audio quality is not that great.

 

I had the same issue in my 07 and the 'infocrapment' was the same so i trashed it, went on AliExpress and bought a android radio for $260 and it's like sitting in a new Explorer but better as i get to control what's on my screen and when. Android auto work great, music plays and no more tiny screen issues. Calls are also great as it depends where you install your mic as many install mics by the driver side window, then drive with windows open and there you go. Otherwise, i believe the mic is installed inside the overhead console and keep in mind that the bluetooth system in that car is 12 years old so it won't really work well with newer phones.
