As of right now I'm sitting under 10k for the entire car. After I get the rest of the parts the car should be all fixed for under 10.5k. THis included registration, taxes, smog, and having the frame laser inspected. The car is clean titled and runs great. Lets just hope the airbags work great. If only I could test them without ramming into a wall, haha.

A quick update of what has happend in pictures

I was able to start the car perfect, but I could rev the engine when I stepped on the gas. Problem was the throttle body sensor was messed up. That means I had to get a new throttle body.

Driver side airbag was also here =)

Wow it's weird there are no check engine lights and no airbag lights. Makes me worried because something isn't working right... THE CAR HAS NO FRONT AIRBAGS YET!!!

Everything is in the motor and I even have an engine cover. I know dirty, but I won't clean it till later. I have an optima batter in there right now, but the way it's made I had to extend wires to make it work. I don't like it so I'll be going out to buy another battery

Process of removing the dash. The radio is out and the center console also
Also for those who have had the shifter get stuck in the sport shift section and couldn't move it out back: Just remove the four bolts holding the shifter assembly in place. Pull it up and try to wiggle it back into place. Eventually it will CLICK* back into place. Tighten and pray it doesn't happen again. Why does it happen? I suppose because something is slightly off and it would prevent you from doing any damage. Just a guess though.

The dash is finally out, but it was a pita to try to manuever it over the steering column. It was an even bigger PITA to put it in all by myself. Anyone who is planning to do this should bring a friend. It'll make a big difference with some help.

The two dashes in comparision. I was very lucky to get one that was in tip top shape.

Almost forgot to switch out the VIN plates... Just take some pliers behind the dash and squeeze the tabs. Push and they pop right out. Pop them into your new dash and flatten the tabs about again. Easy because the metal was very mallable

Car is almost done!! Just need a few things here and there, including the windshield.
The upper radiator hose and some other coolant hose need to be replaced. The seatbelts blew up as well. After that I need to hook up the a/c lines to the condensor and get the system pressurized. I've got all the parts in I just need to install.

Been really busy lately with my other car. I'm going with an 18g and meth injection in my subaru so I've been concentrating on getting parts for that

This turbo is actually going to get port n polished to prevent boost creep and decrease lag. It's going to be a pretty decent daily... 18g, 850ccinjectors, 255walbro, smc meth 70/30, ported manifold, tgv deletes, reversed piping aps fmic, perrion short ram, port and polished, full 3"tbe, heatwrapped headers and Downpipe, turbo wrap, lightweight battery, and protune. Hope it turns out well. Afterwards I'm going to need some ppg gears and a built motor, which is why I'm debating whether or not i should take that money and invest it into this G >

I'm actually considering going with a nice SC setup for the G, but I've got to do my research on what the tranny/motor holds and what kinds of support mods I'll need. I would love to go with a sleeper look =)

Looking good! I have a lot of respect for someone who can set out and accomplish so much. It's a bit beyond my skill at this point

Thumbs up

nice ! reminds me of my car . https://g35driver.com/forums/media-s...post-pics.html

you may run into a few snags that you are unaware of . since my car had the airbags blow as well (seat airbag and curtain airbag and seatbelt) i had to also replace the satelite sensor as well as the airbag control unit then reset the airbag system for the airbags to work properly .solid red light like you have means that your airbag system is not working .blinking light means everything checks out good but needs to be reset . Also do you know the salvage laws of your state . In some states it requires you to buy brand new airbags and prove receipts . you also have to buy brand new parts or prove that the used ones were not stolen by receipt . they are really strict on that as when my car was getting examined they were failing other people left and right .just make sure you have receipts for everything . good luck its looking good .
