ummm for most guys who haven't noticed...PlastiDip is very durable (its used as a primmer) Didnt feel like changing out my wheels cuz of winter tires so I always plastidip em to protect my wheels from who knows what mixes in with the ice! No lie its looks pretty good too!!! all I can say is that just recently taking em off I noticed some scratches that probably wouldve damaged my wheels if I didnt!.a can a plastidip is 6 bucks of greatness!

OP, if you like it good for you. Ignore the haters. No matter what you do or how much money spend on mods, there will always be someone out there with negative comments.

Doesn't look bad, you should lay over two coats of gloss on top of the plasti now

No, no it isn't.

It's used as a rubber paint to cover tools in a grippy and ****ty finish....

In all honesty thats almost a contradiction! Yea its meant for "tools" and I do have it sprayed on the grip end of my torch wrench...but wouldn't that say its DURABLE?! I mean every 6 months or so it starts peeling off but well worth the price. It does get sticky feely when its really hot but it really takes on its surface! So if cleaned properly you will get a smooth surface.

All in all its great for experimental purposes and real cheap for a quick DIY. In my experience I can tell you I had my grill painted black but after a month of freeway driving the chips started showing. Not a bad paint job, just nature. Now I plasti dip every now and then and Im happy with the results!

I hope i'm not too late to the party lol. I would have used plasti dip instead of powder coating my stock wheels gloss black because now i am trying to sell them and every one("potential" buyers) is telling me"heating them up makes them loose strength blah,blah,blah.." What im trying to say is i never intended to keep the wheels so i could have saved money and kept the value of the stock wheels higher than what i am being lowballed at now. To each their own but see it from my perspective i wish i would have plasti dip instead of spending 400 bucks just to have black wheels for 6months, also plasti dip can be used as a "feeler" what if it ends up looking "tacky", just peel it off and don't powder coat/paint your wheels that color cause now you know they won't look good . P.s. I powder coated my wheels cause everyone hated on the rattle can, now people that use the rattle can hate on plasti dip, it will never end lol.
