Possible Oil consumption problem on 03' 6MT

Well I've read about it a million times here on the forums. I'm bout to go get my oil changed and its almost 4k on this one (mobil 1 Synthetic) I had to make a quick trip outa state at the last second is the reason I couldnt get it changed. Well anyways i check my oil when i get back and it takes almost 1 1/2 to 2 quarts to get it back showing on the line. I dont have warranty through Infiniti. I just got thru having my clutch and tranny replaced a couple weeks ago under the warranty they have on all their cars. I was wondering if u guys think i should start having it changed at the dealership and when they see the problem they will tell me i need a new motor. The guy at the dealership said every infiniti has like 5yr 60kmile powertrain warranty if i remember right. So u guys think they will change the motor under warranty or negative???

For significant oil consumption problem, Infiniti will change your engine under the powertrain warranty if you have proof of regular maintenance. But I doubt that 2 quarts per 4K miles is sufficient to justify a new engine...
