Brake Light not working?
So two days ago my brake light stopped working. I'm referring to the light inside my rear window that only illuminates when the brake pedal is depressed. The taillights work fine and light up both when my headlights are on and brighter when I use the brake, but the light in my window does not work. Could this be a fuse issue or is the bulb or connection bad? My car is still under warranty for another couple of months, but I was wondering if it might be an easy fix. Thanks.

Take it to the dealer if its under warr//if they find that u have messed with it, they are going to charge you and tell you that some one has been in there(where ever you star looking)and they will chack history//
and make sure they explain everythin they did on your invoice so you know what they did to correct it// then you can share with us if anyone else has the same concern as you.. Have a good one!

same problem here, the Third brake light will work for about 10 stops then it becomes dim for about another 5, and after it seems as if the LED resistors have heated up, the light completely fails untill the unit has cooled for an extended period of time!
A DIY would be great, i am out of warr.

Ahhhh... ok got it!!!
So do I pull this up towards window, back towards front of car, or at an angle (up and back)? I tried but could not get it to budge. Im worried I might break something so didnt really pull that hard. Are there any clips or unique corners to pull out to facilitate the removal?
Thanks!

Nope... wont budge. I gave that parcel a good 10 to 15lbs of pull straight back, and nothing.
I really didnt want to give it more of a pull since it felt as if my fingers and/or fingernails might permanently mark that felt that it's covered with.
Instead I went to the fuse box under the dashboard by foot pedals, pulled out the 10amp fuse for brake light hoping that would be the problem, but no, it's fine.
Sucks cause I would really like to get that brake light working. I am wondering if the dealer might have disconnected it as a standard procedure when installing the rear spoiler with the l.e.d. brake light strip.
I would llike to have both light up.
