Covered Under Warranty?
Quick question, is a pressure test covered under warranty? Reason I ask is because I was denied the service by a particular dealership (as stated in the I'm Ssssssssmokin thread) and I am going to call and/or write a letter to several Infiniti personnel, including the general manager of that particular dealership.
I'm sick and tired of being tossed around like a solid and possibly damaging my vehicle, because one dealership claims that a radiator job done by another dealership MAY be "faulty".
From my understanding, pressure testing IS covered under the factory warranty, which I still have being that mine doesnt expire for another 14k miles and another year and 3 months. However, the local dealership chooses not to do any testing, even a pressure test, unless I pay for it. It's so stupid, because they see that engine coolant has leaked, but they don't see from where so they neglect to fix it and rather have another dealership do it, and their defense is "because it was done by another dealership." It's not like I'm going to a Toyota dealership and asking them to check on my car, so I don't get what the big deal is.

Well here's the thing. They see engine coolant has leaked somewhere, its on the plastic underbody. They see my reservoir tank is completely empty and even the coolant in the radiator itself is low.
However, they say they can't find a leak. I would assume at that point they pressure test, correct?

To fully diagnose the problem.... I would think so, but a pressure test would determine if the HG is bad. Coolant would be leaking INTO the engine internals not on the outside.
Regardless, on a 2006 G you should still be fully covered bumper to bumper

If you have no foam in the radiator, no "milkshake" in the crank case, just low coolant and evidence of it on the exterior of the motor, no test is warrented. I would wash the motor down, top off with pre-mixed coolant (no water hose) and dirve it to see if or where it leaks. Sounds like a hose or a bad cap.
You can even buy a pressure tester yourself and do it. It's not that much.
This one is the price of one hours shop labor: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=65053

I've been having to top it off everyday. I've even complained that smoke or steam is coming from somewhere. I'm going to the dealership that actually replaced the radiator 6 months ago on Wednesday, I just wanted to write to a higher authority, but I wanted to verify whether or not a pressure test is covered under warranty.
Just like the dealership, I can't any leaks on the hoses myself, tried looking several times.

Well, it's got to be coming from somewhere. I would drive it around until it's been warmed, giving the engine lots of time to circulate the coolant. When you get back just poke around and see what you find. If you have something you can pull the car up onto like ramps that would help.
