Short Shifter

Okay so why are some short throw shifters around $30 and some around $200. Is it one of the "you get what you pay for" type of deals, or are they all the same. The construction all seem to be of aluminum or stainless steel. Can anyone tell me which ones might be better than others or steer me in the right direction? Thanks.

Here's a little input. The first one I bought was one of those "El Cheapo" ebay ones. Big mistake there. That thing was a POS. I put it in and not more than two weeks later it "fell through" and I didn't have reverse. Luckily I was in my driveway when it happened. The cheap ones have the cup facing down and only a big retainer clip holds it in. On mine the clip failed and the ball and shift shaft fell down. I looked around and the best one out there is the Nismo 350Z one. I ordered that and put it in. It's been in there almost a year with no problems at all, works great. The best thing about that one is that it is adjustable right in the car. You can go from short back to stock if you want to in 5 seconds. Also it is better quality. More expensive, yes (around $200) but well worth it. Don't go cheap. Hope this helps.
