A/C not cold enough?

I find my A/C not cold enough .... what could cause this? Do I need to refill some liquid or something ?

My car is a 03 coupe ... quite old...

Just get your AC recharged. Should fix the issue. I know some other members have some different remedies, but a simple recharge will probably be the easiest.

You you find it warmer than it used to be or do you find that you car has always been this way? A recharge would help if the gas is somewhat low but in my car I replaced the oem fans with high flow aftermarket fans and it helped a lot.

Make it really easy on yourself and just go get it done by a reputable shop. It's not expensive, especially if you have a coupon for a place like Pep Boys or Autozone to do it. Normally I would never suggest taking the G to one of these places, but for something so simple I'd say it's fine. There are also DIY kits. I'm sure a simple google search for recharging AC would do you good. Nuff said.

Freon is no longer available at the local Pep Boys, or at least it shouldn't be. Only available to certified mechanics. My mechanic charges $20/lb. I've never tried those AC recharges kits from the store.

I still get Freon at the store. At least I did a few months ago. But make sure the right amount goes in because if you put too much in you'll have the same issues.
