lol yeah after like 3 min of research i found out that its really just a rev light, when you hit redline it lights up to tell you to shift.

You can reprogram the rev light to whatever RPM you want to.

Its supposed to be there for a red light that flashes at you to tell you to shift.. I think its a neat cool feature but sort of useless to me

Everytime I've seen that thing flash at me I always find myself looking at the tach to see what RPMs i'm at anyway. I guess I sort of use it as a reminder for me to look at the RPMs then shift. When racing sometimes you can't just trust something like that. When I first used it in a friends car it seemed more like a distraction to me then I got used to it.

You can set it up my pushing your trip meter stick in till you pass trip A and trip B.. Then you'll see 4 numbers which are your RPMs.. Press and hold the trip stick button in until the numbers start climbing and release the button when you reach your desired RPM

I think when you have the rev symbol, it might be a rev up engine, redlines at 7000 in stead of 6500??? I'm pretty sure they made the shift reminder light red so you can see it in your perifrial vision. You don't need to look down to see it flashing
