is that on the steering wheel? It looks like it needs a torx socket with the middle indent.

i thought it was a torx socket too... t-30 or t-40.. it doesnt fit and the pattern doesnt look the same. if you look closely it looks like a flower pattern not like the star pattern (torx)

I can't see the pic, but the "middle indent" sounds like a security bit of some sort.
You might want to search for a serrated bit they are similar to Torx but not quite the same. Snap On, or Mac tools have a lot of specialty stuff $$. Also here is a link to some security bits.

I can see the picture now, I am pretty sure this is a special nissan tool, (Kent-Moore J-42057 or J-44615 sets), way expensive, but a tamper proof Torx should be close enough to get it off. Or a regular Torx if you grind the center pin out of the bolt.

I guess a T-45 of T-50 what ever is the largest you can fit in it. It won't fit precisely. Try this link
http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Steer...ontrol_Install
It doesn't look like it will come off easily,(loctite) and you will probably want to replace the bolt with a standard one. Be careful around those airbags, they are extremely powerful.
