Berks cats or test pipe?
Debating whether to get Berks HFC or test pipes? I'm running stock exhaust, but I'm concerned that the test pipe will give me too loud of an exhaust or unwanted tone. I love the way the stock exhaust sounds, just want it a little louder. We dont have emissions here, so I dont have to worry about passing.
Opinions? Pros/cons to each?

I have Berk HFC's on my G. I had the Berk test pipes before that. They sounded like.......crap! It was embarassing to drive my car. Anything above 3K RPM and it rasped like a Honda. Buy HFC's if you want nice deeper, and louder sounding exhaust.

I enjoy the berks HFC on my setup - i also vouch for Charles at B2autodesigns - good peeps!!
I prefer the HFC's over test pipes but that is just personal preference, i think you would be very happy with the HFC's and your stock exhaust... and if you decide to upgrade exhausts in the future, it will still sound great...

Depending on whether or not you already have aftermarket HFCs or test pipes installed, as well as a cat-back exhaust, you may run into some issues after the header installation is complete. First, the headers are angled slightly lower than stock, which means that things don't all line up properly when it's time to re-attach the cats and the cat-back. Here are some pics to show you what I mean.

If you don't have to deal with emissions, go with test pipes. But I would recommend resonated test pipes to help prevent rasp. I have Kinetix resonated test pipes and an HR y-pipe on my car with stock catback. Here are a few sound clips. It still has that distinct VQ sound, but just a decent bit louder.
