Unhappy 04 G35, Heat Problem

I need some assistance, My 04 g35 coupe..heat is not working, My heat would work if i press the gas but at idle its cold air.. i had my radiator flushed, heater core flushed, and my heat worked for about a week(half *** though) then went away...

I tried the bleed process but i may not be doing it right either. So if someone would be willing to give me step by steps on that end i would really appreciate it.

Also how would you know if your head gaskets blown, or what would it mean if you were getting oil in your radiator some how?

Thanks for all help that is giving..

Possible scenarios for blown head gasket:
Oil in coolant
all dirty spark plugs, but u got one or two that are really clean
excessive steam coming from tail pipe

To confirm:
do a LEAK DOWN test

If u have air in your coolant system you might:
get a jumpy idle
Higher than normal coolant temp readings

No coolant in the oil, have not checked the spark plugs yet.

No excessive steam valve coming from exhaust.

Any other cases for my heat

Thanks all

If u are seriously worried about a blown head gasket, just do a leak down.
that will tell u if u indeed have a leak, and where that leak is coming from

i had to put in about 1/4 cup of 50/50 mix every day for like a week after a coolant change..
i think it was just air leaving the system..

that was me.. but don't know about you...

(i just fill the reservoir to MAX line every morning)

Hey bikinilust thanks for that link, i read that my heater core could be clogged up thats the excuse for the crap in my radiator.... I have to take the heater hoses and flush them out and Ill see how that goes.

thanks

Hey i took my car into the shop today because i have had the exact same problems with my G. My heat doesn't work while in idol. I have notice once i get out of my car that i smell burnt anti freeze and when i looked in my reservoir i see oil mixed with my anti freeze and i have had to refill it a couple of times... I checked for condensation and for white smoke coming out of the exhaust there was nothing.. but my car seems to sputter a little bit when in idol i was wondering what you found out with your car THANKS!

I've researched the hell our of it, do you have a brown material in your radiator?6
If so there's one of three scenarios or two of the three, I've found it to be either

1 - heater core is clogged ( which can be the reason of the dirty brown oil material, and the heat issue. To get that clean just flush your entire coolant system)

2 - there is air in your system which needs to be bleed out( your heat problem tell your mechanic to look up the issue and they can do it properly for you, as I have had trouble doing it myself. Wasn't as easy as some did it, tell him to have the radiator above the heater core when doing this)

3 - the other excuse for the brown crap in your radiator could be a blown intake gasket, which is better news than a head gasket

Now if my car's heat goes out again my mechanic told me my heater core would need to be replaced.

Make sure if you get your coolant system flushed have them bleed the air out of it, you need to clean it any way you don't want that garbage going through your engine. True story. Can ruin your CAR

I hope this works let me know if this helps man, good luck
