Intermittent Dash Lights

Hey guys. I'm brand new to the forum and have a quick question about dash lights coming on.

For the past few months, intermittently, the Emergency Brake Lights come on, along with the "SLIP" light and the traction control light.

I notice it seems to disable the traction control completely, and the VTS button will not work while the lights are on.

It seems like an electrical short of some sort. Before I go spend a bunch of money to have it inspected and fixed, just wanted to see if anyone knew what could be causing this.

Thanks a million!

did you check out the brake fluid level.. low brake fluid level can cause those 3 lights to come on at the same time.

You may be right. The fluid is almost to the minimum line, well below the half way mark. I'll have to get some brake fluid and see if that works. Thanks a lot for the quick reply!

okay.. that'll fix your problem.. but low fluid could also mean worn brake pads (usually the front)..

if you do refill it.. just refill it halfway and not to the max line, that'll get the lights off..
fill the rest AFTER you change the front pads.
because when you change the pads the fluid level will go up, maybe about quarter way from low to high line..
i hope you understand what i am trying to say here.. lol..

I understand what you mean haha. Thanks for the tips guys. The manual calls for Nissan fluid so I'll just grab some tomorrow at the dealership if I can. I'll post back and let you know if that fixes it.
