How to stop morning belt squeal?
Hey guys,
I bought my 05 G35 Sedan back in June and when I first bought it I replaced the belts with brand new OEM belts right away. These are the serpentine belts. When I was starting it on cold mornings, it began to produce that high pitched elongated squeal and then would fade away. I excused this as the belts, when new, produce sounds such as this because they need to stretch out.
It has been over 7 months now, and still anytime the car is allowed to cool down completely, and is restarted, I get the belt squeal all over again, it lasts maybe 3 seconds and stops. This happens especially on cold mornings, and does not happen when the car has been started or is warm.
Anyone got the answer?
