Scissor jack with jack stands
Just got my 1st pair of jack stands so I'm a total noob. I've been searching around trying to find the best way and best placement for jack stands. I see where the garage jack points are at the front and rear but you need a floor jack to reach those. I dont own a floor jack, I just have the trunk scissor jack. I know where the 4 frame hard points are cut out for the scissor jack but my question is how can I slide the jack stand into the frame cut out sections if the scissor jack is already there lifting up the car? Am I correct in the assumption that they are the only "approved" frame areas to place a jack/jack stands? Easy solution is to just go buy a floor jack I know, but can I do it without? Thanks
I usually place the scissor jack near the "frame cut out" aka pinch welds so theres room for the jack stand to be placed near or on it. imo it doesn't have to be exactly on it. near is close enough for me.
