Well I was having some problems with my G so I took it to my mechanic and they found that the IPDM has gone out. I called Infiniti and they want $760 for one and I just don't know if I can bring my self to pay that much for one. Does any one know where I can get one for cheaper??
Nope you can try searching online for it. I've had a lot of success with Nissan/Infiniti dealerships giving me part numbers via the phone.
Yes they can. They just don't want to.
Yeah cause they want me to buy it from them (hence the name "stealership") but I guess I'll try to call an out of state dealer or do some more research to to see if I can find the part #, if I decide to keep it instead of trading it in

That sucks. The Nissan dealership I go to will usually look up parts for my G and all kinds of information, lol.
Anyway, this looks like the new part number:

Well I was driving out to a family reunion and halfway down the highway I noticed that my temperature gauge would start to climb a little bit when was doing about 80 mph but when I let off the gas and drop down to about 70 mph it would drop back down to normal temp. And it's not the first time this has happened. So I took it to my mechanic and had my radiator flushed and had him hook it up to his computer and he said that the IPDM wasn't sending any signals to the fans.

Are you sure the mechanic got all the air out of the system after he flushed it?
I have had my IPDM fail once or twice and it's not pretty the car usually won't even start or runs limp.
What if you just start the car and rev the engine get it hot and listen to see if the fans turn on.
I believe there is a "test mode" that the IPDM can be put into which runs through each relay in a specific order. Not sure if there is a way to make that happen without a Consult interface...
But yes, the fan relay is in the IPDM and it is not designed to be a replaceable component - whole IPDM is how you replace one relay (grrrr). But there are obviously a few other factors that effect your fan motors like; thermostat, probably at least TWO fuses, the fan motors themselves, the ground side of that circuit, etc, etc... I suggest you grab yourself some service manuals here:

and start tracing the issue.
It would be a drag to invest in a new IPDM only to find that it was NOT the source of the problem! Good luck.

Well after he flushed my radiator there was air in the system and I got it all out so now the car is running fine with no problems. I know one of my fan motors is out but the other one is coming on now. It used to not kick on high speed when the engine got hot now it does. The only reason I suspected the IPDM was because of what he saw when hooking it up to his computer. I found the test for the IPDM but could not ever get it to work after trying over and over for 2 hours. But I'm actually about to sell the car or trade it in so I'm not even going to bother with it anymore . but Thanks for all the help guys!!
