Car wont star after replacing battery

Yesterday my car stranded me at a gas station after the battery died so i got a jump, drove home, bought and installed a new kirkland brand battery. The install went smoothly and when i went to turn the ignition everything appeared normal, the lights turn on, everything functions fine and the car even cranks. The problem is that the engine refuses to catch now! WTF?!?! Also the smart keys no longer functions to lock/unlock the doors. Im not sure if they are deprogrammed or what? If that was the case than i dont think the car would even let you turn the ignition switch let alone crank. As of now the car is just sitting in my driveway. i am hoping to avoid towing the car to the stealership for this. Any help you guys provide is hugely appreciated thanks in advanced guys!

Car details:
-2007 infinity g35 coupe AT
-Equipped with lojack
-fully stock, even base sound system

Here is what I have done:
-insured battery polarity is correctly connected
-cleaned and tightened terminal connections
-replaced the batteries in both intelligent/smart keys

I am almost positive that it is not the alternator. I cant really find anything to suggest that the alternator would be the problem here. The battery was 7 years old and needed replacing and the new batter provides a strong turnover. The car is acting as if there is a sensor somewhere inhibiting the cars engine from catching. I think at this point I am just going to tow the car in to the dealership and let them bend me over . I just hope they use lube! . I will post the resolution to this problem as soon as it is squared away!

So I towed my car to the Nissan dealer after trying to solve this on my own.

What I tried:
My security light is steady red when I turn he ignition to the "on" position. My research suggest that this is indicative of my car going into "Lock Down Mode". The procedure to unlock it was to turn the ignition switch to the "on" position for 5 seconds and to the "off" position for 10 seconds and repeat a total of 3 times. I tried a hundred times and it did not work, car still is "immobilized" meaning the engine will NEVER catch until it is released from it. Research also suggest two possible culprits are either the NATS (Nissan Anti Theft System) or the BCM (Body Control Module). I also tried checking fuses and did not find any that were burned out.

What the Dealer wants to try (and likely will come monday):
The Nissan Dealer of Valencia I took it to diagnosed it and pretty much told me that there procedural manual told them to try and program the keys and if that didnt work then they needed to replace the BCM at total cost of approximately $850 , Here is the best part, the manual then states that if the BCM does not fix this issue then they need to try and replace the ECM (Engine Control Module) for another $850. Since the keys did not program they want to proceed with the BCM replacement but ran out of time on Saturday and will resume on Monday. They have yet to mention that the NATS might also be the problem, but it looks like I have to spend $1700 before they even consider that. There is also the little issue that after spending all this money there is NO guarantee that they can get the car to start! They prety much want to throw parts at the car until something sticks at $800 a pop! I am very frustrated at this point and at a loss as to what to do. If anyone has had experience with this and can give me some input please post a comment! Thank you for your help in advanced!

I am quite sure (my dealer sez so) that my car was an attempted theft...immobilizer stopped engine start. my thread is on here and what I did...this is the third case of this in about 3 weeks.

thank you slim for your reply SLIM! I definitely tried checking fuses (maybe i missed one) and disconnecting the battery to see if it would help, but it didn't fix my problem. I am assuming that for whatever reason when I put the new battery in the car it somehow messed with the cars electronics. Initially after installing the battery when I went to turn the car on I noticed the car did a strange boot up sequence where the outside temperature gauge counted down from like 125 and then my stereo memory was wiped and my saved stations were gone. Also my smart key would allow me to turn the car "on" but i would not remotely lock/unlock my car or start the car. The memory was wiped...

In case anyone is interested the problem turned out to be the BCM and the car starts after replacing it. the repair is not cheap so for those of you who want to play with the electronics in our cars, a word of advice is, DON'T. Our cars electronics are pretty sensitive and it takes almost nothing to mess with BCM / ECM / NATS. All of which are expensive to fix. All I did was replace the battery after jumping my car. Good Luck!
