A quick conundrum

2006 coupe with the intelligent key, car will not recognize my key fob once the car sits for a few hours or if it sits over night. But now I start the car by the physical key and driver for a few miles shut the car off to go in somewhere and shop then return to my car the will recognize the key fob.... Does the fob need a new battery? Will find out and repost findings

I have a 2006 Coupe with an Intelligent Key. The car will not recognize the key after the car has been sitting for a few hours or overnight. I am currently using the physical key but when I drive for short distances and return, the car will recognize the Intelligent Key. Does the fob need a new battery? If I find the answer, I will repost the findings. Thank you and good day.

The batteries are only about $5 for the key fob. I would change that first. If you have an extra key fob, see if the same problem happens with that one.
