hey guys,

My airbag light has been flashing, I did the procedure to reset the light but it only stays off for a little while, then it comes right back on. any idea why it might be doing this?

bump I am having this issue as well. Mine stays off for about a week or so then it comes back on.

 

I was having a similar issue, I heard there are zip ties holding the airbag connector under the drivers seat that causes a loose connection when the seat moves back and forth. I was lazy and just stopped my seat from moving. I'm not sure if this helps at all, but since ive stopped my seat from moving I haven't had the light on.

 

I will confirm what spitfingers said. I haven't moved my seat at all for the past month and the air bag light hasn't come back on.

 

take itto the dealer. the have to fix it up to 120k.

 

So relieved to see that I am not the only one experiencing the saga of the flashing airbag light! I will reset again, then not touch my seat adjustments. Will report back on the results... :-)

 

Pull the code so you know EXACTLY WHICH COMPONENT is malfunctioning.

 

I've had the same issue for last couple of years. I've cut the zip tie apply dielectric grease to connector and re-connect but the light came back on.

Anyone had a smoking gun fix that they can share?

Also, I hear that Infiniti took care of the problem under recall for certain VIN. Anyone got theirs fixed under the recall?

 

Like my previous post, pull the code and see EXACTLY which component is malfunctioning. You can put the SRS system into diagnostic mode and it will flash a sort of morse code to tell you exactly what component is the problem.
