this is the second brand new alternator I replaced in 2 weeks..can something be killing them..any help appreciated..

 

It's more likely that you bought a crappy alternator, exactly what brand are you using?

 

You should have had your original alternator rebuilt by an electronic motor shop instead of replacing it

Totally agree about the OEM rebuilt, that's definitely the best way to go.

 

 

Check your battery too. They can cause alternators to work harder.

 

Some credit cards double the warranty on any products purchased with the card.
Check the fine print.
On defective products sold you can request a charge back on your credit card.
Never pay with cash,check or a debit card.
Alternators manufactured in Japan are most likely more expensive and more reliable than cheaper ones coming from China
